Craft Freemasonry

Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest and largest fraternal organisations: seeking to make good men better by teaching and encouraging trust, fellowship and charity.
Your life long journey into the worlds foremost brotherhood of ethical men is about to start here. Please come along to one of our friendly meetings, you will get to know what Freemasonry and Lodge Pacific are all about, at the same time, enjoy our first class hospitality and understand what a great job Freemasonry does in assisting our local community. You will also discover that we are passionate about transforming our new Brothers by building on there strengths to create the leaders of tomorrow.
Twin Towns Masonic Centre enjoys one of the highest initiation rates of young freemasons in the state. We welcome all enquiries and those members who join us are assigned mentors to help with any questions and instruction that arise from your journey through Freemasonry.
For more information on our chapter of Freemasonry and perhaps some of your questions may also be answered in the FAQ section in the Freemasonry page.
Lodge Pacific
No. 298
Consecrated in 1915

Lodge Pacific No. 298 is a Craft Lodge
Lodge Pacific has a long and exciting history dating back to 1915, being the first lodge established in Tweed Heads. During our 100+ years of existence over 600 Masons have passed through its portals.
We currently have around 30 members who are aged from 30 years through to 90 years. Our members are very active within the community and all share a great passion for community assistance.
Together with our sister lodges Lodge Tweed United, Lodge Dawn and Twin Towns Daylight Lodge we have raised over $30,000 for our local hospitals and we also support many other fundraising initiatives around the Tweed Heads area.

Our Lodge Meetings
Before the Meeting
Lodge Pacific No. 298 gather once a month for an evening meeting lasting two to three hours. Doors are open from 6:45pm (DST) for social purposes.
We meet every 3rd Wednesday of the month, January to November at 7.30pm (DST).
Visiting Brethren most welcome.
During the Meeting
Like any organisation there’s a business element, with minutes, accounts, and plans for upcoming events to be read and discussed among the members. But a Lodge meeting is also ceremonial, involving a series of formalised and symbolic presentations which use drama to highlight the codes of conduct by which a Freemason strives to live.
During a Lodge meeting, instruction is also provided to assist in a Mason’s daily life and personal development. This may be on a range of topics, including public speaking, communication skills, leadership skills, or business management.
After the Meeting
The final part of the meeting involves all Lodge members dining together. With Masons coming from all age groups and from all walks of life, the opportunity to sit down and enjoy a meal with each other provides the perfect chance to “catch up”, and yet another forum for an exchange of ideas.
Lodge Social Activities
Apart from our regular meetings, we organise social activities involving the entire family.
Theatre Parties
Sports Days
Conferences
Picnics
The holding of these types of events helps develop closer bonds, not just between Masons, but among their families and the community as well.
Give us a call and come along to our regular meeting, see why so many men are joining this unique organisation.
